About Acme Brick company

Acme Brick Culture: People Who Still Love Talking About Clay

Since the 1890s we have fired brick for porches, school wings, and Main Street storefronts. Our culture stays neighborly—curious about your elevation sketch, honest about lead times, and proud of kiln craft that still respects compressive strength, water absorption rate, and dimensional stability on every pack that leaves the yard.

Mission

Helping homeowners and designers create beautiful, comfortable exteriors with clay materials they will still enjoy after decades of weather cycles. We make selection feel clear—compressive strength, water absorption rate, and color storytelling in plain language.

Vision

A North America where masonry choices are guided, not guessed—where architects, builders, and families share the same sample board and walk away confident about dimensional stability and long service life expectancy.

Our story in clay

From early Texas kilns to a multi-plant network

Acme Brick company roots reach into the 1890s, when local clay and patient firing cycles shaped neighborhood streetscapes. Today more than twenty manufacturing plants support residential and commercial orders across North America, while ISO 9001:2015 systems and ASTM C216 compliance keep quality conversations grounded. We still debate natural clay character versus engineered cladding with designers who want authentic texture—and we still write plant lead times in plain English so procurement managers are not surprised mid-pour.

When sustainability consultants ask about LEED qualified materials or recycled content percentage, we share documentation instead of slogans. When building inspectors ask about fire resistance rating or moisture vapor transmission detailing, field advisors walk the submittal pack with them. That is the culture: warm guidance backed by measurable masonry performance and a service life expectancy measured in decades, not marketing seasons.

Culture values

How we show up for projects and people

Warm expertise

We translate ASTM C216 and fire resistance rating notes into decisions you can explain to a client over coffee.

Plant honesty

If a color is between kiln runs, we say so. Schedule risk beats surprise trucks every time.

Community craft

From Fort Worth roots to Tulsa and Houston markets, we treat every neighborhood elevation as someone’s forever wall.

Careers & community

Curious minds welcome—whether you sketch elevations or schedule trucks

We hire people who enjoy teaching without talking down. If you care about ISO 9001 discipline and also about how a porch looks at sunset, you will fit. Reach out to learn about plant, sales, and design-support roles across our network.
